The World Health Organization Global Patient Safety Challenge: ‘Medication Without Harm’ aims to reduce severe avoidable harm associated with medication by half globally over the next five years.
The Global Patient Safety Challenge consists of three priority areas of medication safety that most affect patients: high-risk prescribing, polypharmacy (use of multiple drugs) and transitions of care; and aims to strengthen health systems and practices within countries to improve patient safety and decrease avoidable medication-related harm.
This one-day Medication Without Harm Knowledge Exchange Event will bring together healthcare policymakers, healthcare professionals, researchers, patients and the public to present and share current evidence and discuss their perspectives on medication safety.
